this is gonna be a recap of memorable events of the last 2mths of 2011
so... it'll be rather lengthy.
READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! hahaha
shall start off with gg taiwan from nov 10-18
went for tchoukball comp w my team (rep spore)
which was quite scary considering i only joined it for 2mths only?!?!?
thinking back, im not sure where i gathered my courage to compete against ppl much more experienced, skilled.
i guess its due to wanting to learn more from these ppl as oppose to winning?
had an intense 3 days competition with 8hrs of sleep combined
fatigue, muscle cramps, nervousness and lack of concentration resulted in me not being able to play my best for all matches :(
but the whole trip was really fruitful as it bonded us together as a team as we grow together..
although honestly speaking as from Jan 01, 2012 - i feel that these bonds have grown weaker due to various reasons such as commitment problems, studies etc.
nonetheless this trip was a real eye-opener, made me feel that there's soooo much more to learn from. taking one step at a time!
despite the injuries suffered during the trip, the friendship gained - shopping @ taipei was rly rly something i'll always rem'ber. my various "sleeping" poses, my friends gg crazy shopping for shoes, masks, hectic last day buying stuff in taipei.
all those precious memories will always be kept in my heart! <3
next would be kukup trip w jumbo.
haha i rarely use this name due to its.. obvious hilarious nature as can be seen :P
too bad i wasnt present when they chose this name or i'll definitely.. have some comments on it hahaha
been planning this for 2mths (thankyou for your effort time yingxin (: i reallyyyy do appreciate it)
it felt more like an extended trip chalet instead actually
maybe cause its just that all of us are hanging out together again, chatting about happenings in our lives, reminiscing about the times spent in NHHS.
chilling at kukup was like experiencing the lifestyle of a pig or someone who has all the time in the world. eating 5-6 meals a day, singing karaoke the entire time to setting fireworks in the sky, letting go of sky lanterns. it was really awesome ^^
went over to JB -to do shopping! i didnt buy much actually, it was more of another vicious cycle of eating once again due to cheap food there. fav: aunt annie's, beard papa & baskin' robbins!
went over to kjy's place to spend christmas, counting down to it seems funny haha but it was our 2nd year counting down to it & why not continue!
it was the same style of dinner (w the girls "cooking" this time, but kjy's dad made us rly good beehoon that made me wanting for more)
same grp of ppl once again -with the usual drinks, games. just chilling
but i guess it was a rather successful htht session when the guys opened up more and started sharing ancient stories that i never knew existed before :D
it was really a long htht that lasted til almost 6am in the morning when no one had stuff to contribute. made me feel that this are a bunch of ppl that i can trust with anything and that they'll be there for me when i need them!
haha slept for an hr or two before heading down to tiong bahru market for breakfast w the remaining ppl (6 of us in total) totally stoned while eating.. haha
then came along a suggestion made by joanne dearest -continuation of christmas party part 2 @ her place later at night
as mentioned by many "it seems like we'll never get sick of each other" lol
went home & slept til abt 6 or so.. then i started replying ppl's msg that the party's on!!
haha drank martell at joanne's place, it has to be my fav alcohol out of all actually ^^
th idea of just gathering, meeting up w them makes me really treasure the friendship that we have! no words can describe the feeling when im with them!
okayy, nxt's the 2d1n orientation camp w amanda
thankgodness i switched og to be with her haha otherwise whats the point of me gg there is the first place!
lol met 5-6 of my previous og mates which was rly surprising! pleasant surprise though (:
3 sentences to summarize my experience
awesome og 11- w awesome ogls. had the best cheer!
<3 country eraser, pepsi cola, eagle catching chicken games (total ownage. how to lose??)
last but not least: got first place for camp ^^
i've never really been a big fan of camps but this short one was really enjoyable!
the short time spend together at a "less" cleaner campus (yes im a little obsessed with cleanliness) was really great, leaves a good memory of my last camp of 2011 and hopefully my last camp ever! haha
final story of this super duper longgggg post : countdown lunch & dinner @ mh's hse
met ong, teo & tjs at sengkang! haha never been on the purple line often - shua gu me has no idea that sengkang has lrt! haha yes now i know alright!
alighted at some station named.. smth rly close to baka (haha cant rem'ber it!)
went over to tjs's place to play kinect & wii
his hse was biggggggg
haha love kinect -all those dance mv which has rly cool moves
wii games- <3 tennis, and no brainer games like the "rabbits"
after that went down to mh's hse..
usual chiefs were cooking us dinner (mh, ian & jonw) while us (yx me and joanne) were busy erm.. filming them & getting out of their way! haha
had really good spaghetti, honey glazes chicken wings, cheesy hotdog omelette <3 with kimchi was satisfying :D
not forgetting the lovely desserts: frozen strawberries, ballsy mint frm udders, laoban beancurd
technically it was just another chilling session w them once more and everytime there'll be new information that i'll learn about them (:
but the company was what makes the countdown so special!
makes me appreciate life more when i know that there're friends who'll be there for me & who really care for me
esp. all my nanhua friends : friends that i know will accompany for my lifetime (:
im grateful for having knowing everyone who came into my life and made an impact!
you all are the fuel to keep me going through any difficulties which i may face.
thankyou so much for being friends with me. really.
thats to end off my 2011 and welcome a new start into 2012!
i will be who i want to be, w/o being afraid of what others might say. just afraid that i might not live to the expectations that i give myself! but its a new beginning and new resolutions to live for!
